About Sign of Peace

The Sign of Peace Project tells the stories of parishioners of the St. Benedict Catholic Church community. Each mass we exchange the Sign of Peace, but do we really know the people behind the handshake? Amid a growing epidemic of loneliness, community connection is more crucial than ever.

Inspired by my grandmother who lived alone and suffered from dementia, the Sign of Peace Project aims to build relationships that span generations and contribute to a sense of belonging. Digital storytelling enhances connection and we hope to combat loneliness, one conversation at a time.
